I know I say this pretty much every week, but holy cow, this pregnancy is going by fast. I can't believe I'm already 5 months along. There is just SO much to do and get sorted before February, and with the holiday season coming up, I have to admit, I'm getting a little overwhelmed. But, in a good way. I think.
I debated mentioning this on my blog, but I figure I will anyway. As you know, we are looking for a house. Well, a few weeks ago we put in an offer on a short sale, that was accepted by the owner. (Short sales should actually be called "really fricking long and pain in the ass sales" by the way. They are NOT short.) So at this point, we are waiting to hear back from the bank to accept our offer, which could take months. Probably not the best thing for a control freak, pregnant and anxious lady huh? But the house is great, so fingers crossed. We've had some good signs this week (as our lovely realtor put it it) so.... there's that. Ha ha! When/ if we get the banks approval, then we can start doing the appraisal and inspection, and double check everything is ok for buying. (ie, the roof isn't going to cave in tomorrow, and we won't have to try and be landlords to termites.) So for now, it's just wait, and dream. And try not to start picking out furniture for a place that isn't "ours" quite yet.
Alright, on to the baby progress!
Strangers are actually starting to kinda notice that I'm pregnant and not just drinking a lot of beer. So that is exciting! (Though, it kinda depends on what I wear haha)
Baby is as big as a Papaya (how exotic haha) -
Can't complain too much! Though, as I've kind of talked about before, this baby is sitting SO low, so I'm still suffering from a squished bladder. The latest thing (that I'm hoping will GO AWAY soon) is that I think the baby is pressing on a nerve somewhere, because about every 10 minutes or so I get very sharp pins and needles pains in my feet. Enough to make me have to stop walking, and kind of wince. All and all, good though.
This baby is going to be a handful, I can tell! He is a little wiggle worm, and is VERY active at the moment. I adore it. :) I can also distinctly feel and see his kicks from outside my tummy now. Watching and feeling him has fast become my new favorite activity when I lie down at night, when he is most active. Which is probably why I'm getting through my latest book at a snail's pace.
Cravings -
Kinda over the sour stuff now, so my poor teeth have a break from the lemons. Thank goodness! I'm not really craving anything in particular, but am eating pretty much everything in sight.
Food Aversions -
Nope. Though my hubby thought about buying some pork the other day for dinner, and it sounded utterly disgusting. That may have nothing to do with pregnancy though haha.
Favorite things from last week-
Having my parents in last weekend, and "camping" in the backyard with Charl. Then having a fun, yet very soggy, day at the state fair. I'm still in the editting process of those pics, but they should be up soon.
Things I'm looking forward to this week -
Not a lot is going on this week! I'm just trying to keep busy so that I can keep my mind off the house buying situation. Luckily for me, I've bitten off more than I can chew for with projects so I'm PLENTY busy haha!

You look so cute! Good luck on the house... short sales are most definitely a pain in the ass and a lesson in patience. Which I don't have any of so I can feel your pain :)
