25 Weeks

I guess these pregnancy updates are sort of starting to become "house" updates as well.  Ha ha!  Really though, we are still playing the waiting game.  I believe I updated that we signed some papers last week that the bank requested so everything was looking like it was making progress.  And so far as I know, it is.  I checked up on it on Tuesday, and it turns out that basically one of their papers (a BPO) is expired, so they have to get a new one.  From what I understand, this is kind of like an appraisal to determine the value of the house for the bank.  This is not uncommon I've been told.  But it just means more waiting for us.  UGH!!!!!  So it is looking like my dream of cooking a turkey in our new house for Thanksgiving is probably not gonna pan out.  Oh well though.  Those were some pretty high hopes on my end anyhow!  But Christmas, now THAT I think is a reasonable goal to hopefully set to move in by.  And goodness, it's starting to cut close.  Before I know it it will be January, and I really want to be ready for baby by then!

Have I mentioned that I'm not ready AT ALL??  Literally the only things I have for the baby is a dismantled crib in my bedroom, that needs to be painted, and a few onesies.  ACK!  We still have a few things from Charl, but seeing as we moved from London when he was about 8 months old, we had to get rid of a LOT of things to save space in our luggage/ shipments.  So yeah, its almost like starting over completely.  I know baby doesn't *need* a lot, but it would sure feel better to feel a little bit more prepared and organized!

Also, if we move, I think I'm going to need to change my doctor/ hospital, considering that they would then be an hour's drive away.  So that's a little scary.  I'd really like to switch as soon as possible, to get to know the new doctor, etc, but I can't really do that until I have more of a firm answer of when/ if we're gonna move.  I'm going for a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section), so having an hours drive, especially with this being my 2nd child, which from what I understand, can progress MUCH quicker than the first birth (THANK GOD), makes me really anxious.  I want a natural birth, but I'd prefer it not to occur on the access road of the George Bush Turnpike.

Cross your fingers for me people.

On to preggo news:

25 Week Bump Pic-

Baby is as big as an Acorn Squash, very festive -

How I'm feeling - Good.  :)  My pelvic bones are starting to get a little sore, but nothing too major.  And my feet get pretty sore if I don't sit down and rest throughout the day.  (Which is not something I normally let myself do.) The belly button is starting to disappear and I'm pretty sure it's gonna look like it's shouting "Turkey's done!!" soon.  Ha ha!  Though, of course, turkey will still be cookin.  Sleeping is getting slightly challenging.  Not the falling asleep part.  No way, I can fall asleep at the drop of a hat at night these days.  (See also: old lady who went to bed at 9:30 last night)  But I do wake up at least twice to make a trip to the bathroom.  UGH.  That is seriously, for me, the worst part of pregnancy.  I have to pee ALL THE FRICKIN TIME.  But again, if that is all I have to complain about, then whoa, I'm doing pretty damn good.

Also, you can't tell in the pictures or anything, but my hair and nails are OUT OF CONTROL.  Pregnancy seems to be the only time I have have nice looking manicured nails, because they grow out quicker than I can bite them.  Ha!  And I seriously took scissors to my hair like a month ago to cut off about 3 inches, and it's already needing it again.  But I'm loving the full lovely hair!!  Woohoo!

One thing I have a problem with, and maybe you preggos/ mamas can give suggestions?  I keep rolling on my back during the night.  When I wake up through the night, I turn back on my side, but I'm like one of those toy clowns that you punch and they bounce back.  I just keep rolling back over!  I know it isn't good for the baby though.  I've thought of putting a pillow behind my back, but I kind of feel like I'm putting up a total "anti-husband" barricade when I do that.  Not to mention, I'm pretty sure my husband will pitch a fit if I bring one more pillow into the bed.  I seriously sleep with like 5 now.  Suggestions?

Cravings -
Nope!  But if you suggest something to me to eat when I'm hungry, I'll have to have it.  RIGHT THEN.  So I guess that's kind of a craving.  lol

Food Aversions -
Nope.

Favorite things from last week
Finishing up a Christmas present for my cousin. IN OCTOBER YALL!  This is a big deal.

Things I'm looking forward to this week -
Halloween coming up, and finishing up Charl's little costume.  ;)  Also need to get out to the pumpkin patch soon!  Charl always has such a great time when we go, and I'm eager to get out my camera and snap some shots.  :)  Oh, and pumpkin carving!  Gotta do that too!

Hey Christina, Where is your new potential house? I have a wonderful OB but I don't know which direction you're moving to.
